For the past month or so we have been digging deeper in God, getting to understand more and more about what it means to worship Him, to acknowledge Him as Lord and us not being lord. As we are on this journey of digging deeper, there’s a word of encouragement from the Lord to “stay close.” Stay close to Him.
Don’t drift away. Don’t let Him go. Don’t become complacent and get stuck here on this level. Stay close by staying on the chase after Him, staying in His Word day and night, talking to Him all day, inviting Him into everything, walking out or doing whatever He says to do, pouring out praise and thanks on Him everyday.
Don’t let situations or people problems or drama take you away or out of God’s presence. In fact, get in His Presence and bring the problems, the people and the drama to Him and lay it down at His feet. Don’t let God go.
Don’t stop coming to church. Don’t stop reading the Word. Don’t stop seeking. Don’t stop knocking. Don’t walk away from God. And if you have, come close. Come back to God. Come back to His word. Come back to church. Come back to His love. Get everything in your life back on track with God. Come back to Him and stay close.
Psalms 63:8 NKJV: My soul follows close behind You; Your right hand upholds me.
