I Peter 2:9 NKJVBut you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light:

From Facebook to TikTok to all  of the social media channels available to the public out there, there are people who are known as influencers. An influencer is a person or thing with the capacity or power to have an effect on someone or something. Influencers on social media tend to give advice, make recommendations or share their stories or testimonies about whatever has affected their lives. They build trust with the community as people feel connected or can relate and therefore have a following of people. Influencers weren’t just meant for social media. We are called to be influencers for God.

God had His own influence on us by showing His reckless love for us to the point that we gave up our old way of living and decided to receive His Salvation and now live for Him. He has then called us to go and make disciples of all nations (influence) baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (more influence) and then teach them to observe or do all things that Jesus commanded us to do (even more influence) (Matt. 28:19-20). As a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s own special people (yes, this is you and I that Peter is referring to in this scripture), we are the influencers.

We are the ones getting hyped on what Jesus has done for us and sharing with others so that they can get hyped and follow Him, as there is power in the blood of the Lamb and in the word of our testimony!! Your purpose is to be an influencer for God, and you can be the influencer anywhere – at home, at work, in the store, on social media – anywhere. You have a testimony. It’s time to share it. Watch who will begin to follow after Jesus because of your influence because of the influence He had on you.
